September 10th

Wow is it hot today! Please make sure you are sending in a drink cup for your child so that they will have plenty of cool water to drink during the day.  We will play outside for a short period of time everyday (weather permitting).

During Jesus time we are continuing to learn the days of creation.  This week we are focusing on days 3 and 4. The class is doing well learning our "Jesus time" song: God is so good.  Ask them to sing it for you at home.

September brings the beginning of the harvest season.  We are starting with apples.  This week we will be painting apples, making apples to hang on our tree, and taste testing apples to choose our favorite kind (look for our graph later in the week).

Our letter focus this week in the letter D and our nursery rhyme is Donkey, Donkey.

Here are a few of the fun activities we will do this week:

*Using the paint daubers to make green and red apples on the apple tree

*Creating beautiful drawing on BIG paper

*Cutting red paper strips

*Making a dot design on our D art paper

*Decorating days 3 and 4 of God's Creation

*Counting out 2 octagons to put on our class octagon

*Painting a RED painting

*Finger painting a donkey

*Stamp rain drops to make our own counting book
