Paschal greeting

AlleluiaChrist is risen! (“He is risen indeedAlleluia!”)

John 21
English Standard Version (ESV)
Jesus Appears to Seven Disciples
21 After this Jesus (A)revealed himself (B)again to the disciples by (C)the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. Simon Peter, (D)Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of (E)Cana in Galilee, (F)the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but (G)that night they caught nothing.
Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples (H)did not know that it was Jesus. 5 (I)Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” 6 (J)He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That disciple (K)whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, (L)he put on his outer garment, for he was (M)stripped for work, and (N)threw himself into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards[a] off.
When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, (O)“Come and (P)have breakfast.” Now (Q)none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came and (R)took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. 14 (S)This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

Major points for Children:

Sin pushes us away (or separates us) from God.
Jesus comes and finds us.
He forgives us, and puts us back together with God.
He gives us purpose (or things to do).
Jesus continually reminds us of His power, love and forgiveness even when we have forgotten Him.

Major points for Adults:

Jesus feeds our bodies with food and feeds our souls with HIS WORD.
Just as Jesus restored Peter to Grace, He works in us through the Holy Spirit to bring us back into the Family of Believers.
Jesus earned Grace for us on the cross. It is for all people who Believe in Him. Our relationship with God is restored and all Believers are Heirs of Eternal Life.
Christ calls us to be Fishers of Men and we need to share the Gospel message of Salvation with others.

Song:
Fished All Night
Lyrics:
Fished all night and caught no fishes. (3x)
Out on the deep blue seas.
Then came Jesus walking on the water. (3x)
Out on the deep blue sea.
Cast your nets on the other side. (3x)
Out on the deep blue sea.
Then their nets were filled with fishes. (3x)
Out on the deep blue sea.

Go Ye:

1. Go ye, go ye into the world, and make disciples of all the nations.
Go ye, go ye into the world, and I will be with you there!

2. Go ye, go ye into the world, and take the gospel to all the people.
Go ye, go ye into the world, and I will be with you there!

3. Go ye, go ye into the world, and tell the story to all believers.
Go ye, go ye into the world, and I will be with you there!

Oh you Can't Keep Jesus Love in a Box

Alleluia
