Using the bingo daubers to decorate a number 6, working with shape boxes and putting the shapes in the right place, working on building with blocks, puzzles and stringing beads

Reminders
As a reminder our classroom begins at 8:00 and it is best if your child can be here between 8:00-8:15. This makes the transition for all the students much easier if everyone is arriving at the same time and for those who may have a hard time with separation as everyone is coming in and putting their things away for the day and greeting and playing with their friends. It also allows for less disruption as the morning progress if all our students are arriving at the same time, not to mention students who arrive late miss out on a lot of the fun activities that we do during the 8:00-9:00 hour.
Food Reminders
Remember that we are a peanut free facility and that your child needs to have peanut free food for snack and lunch. Also, it is important that if your child is bringing Grapes, hot dogs that they are cut into quarters or they will not be allowed to have them during the school day. These foods pose as a chocking hazard for children of this age group.
We will have supplies out for you to make valentines with your child(ren) along with other Valentine’s Day activities, including making a “sweet” snack to eat!
Who: PDO families (siblings ages 6 and under are welcome to attend)
When: Saturday, February 8th from 9-10:30 a.m.
Where: Zion’s Sonshine Center; all 4 classrooms in the Sonshine Center will have activities for your family. Some of the activities will be messy (paint, glue, etc.) so please dress accordingly!
No R.S.V.P is needed! Just come and stay as long as you would like! Zion’s PDO staff is looking forward to seeing you then!
--RE-ENROLLMENT--
Re-enrollment is currently taking place here at Zion for current students. Current Zion families have first priority for re-enrollment until the end of January. Starting February 1st, enrollment is opened up to the community. In the past few years, the PDO and Preschool enrollment has filled up very quickly, so I encourage you to re-enroll as soon as possible, especially if you are needing specific days.
Zion will be hosting an Open House on Sunday, February 09, 2014 from 1:00-3:00. Please invite your family and friends to come! You are more than welcome to come too, especially if you would like to meet Zion's Preschool staff.
If you have any questions about re-enrollment or Zion's preschool program, please feel free to talk to your child's teacher or Sara Kuhlmann.
Enjoy our day through pictures we did go outside today for a very short time. I forgot to take the camera with me. We were busy today so I forgot on occasions to take pictures I apologize. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at hhorn@zionharvester.org

As I said above we did go outside today which was great considering we have not been outside since before Thanksgiving. We are really working on using our listening ears, using our walking feet inside and using our indoor voices. These are things that you can always work on at home with your little ones. I pray that you all have a safe and warm weekend, and if you are looking for a place to worship we would love for you to join us at Zion. We have a 5:00 Saturday service, a 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 services. Look forward to seeing everyone next week when we will start new color, new number, new shape, a new letter and new Bible stories and some new toys to play with in our classroom.
