This week our Bible story is Joseph's coat of many colors from the Old Testament, Genesis 37:1-45:28.
Jacob had 12 sons but Joseph was his favorite. One day Jacob gave a wonderful coat to Joseph. This made Joseph's brothers very jealous. His brothers were so jealous that they sent him to a faraway place. This country was called Egypt. The brothers told their father that Joseph had died! Joseph had many exciting adventures, but one day God brought him and his family back together.

Today your child played with various toys in the classroom. Bristle blocks, connects, farm toys, magnetic cars and housekeeping toys. I read several books to them and they looked at books on their own.  They painted creatures of the sea (look for them on the lobby mural).  They used their imagination and designed, with colored sand, a coat of many colors. We sang and danced to several songs and even did a few finger plays. They identified various shapes as I held them up. The boys and girls enjoyed some sensory time by playing in hand lotion. The children used their imagination to design a summer collage. With markers they colored a boy/girl at the beach. Many of our friends enjoyed digging for sea animals/shells. We discussed packing for a vacation, as well as where to go and what to do on vacation. They had many good ideas. We also spent some time talking about the beach.  We carefully looked at a variety of shells. The highlight of the day was walking to the main building and playing in the Gym. They had a blast.

BLESSINGS on your weekend and your worship this weekend!
