This week's Bible lesson is all about LOVE. We talked about how God loves us so much that He sent his son Jesus to Earth for us. How Jesus loves us so much that He came to Earth as a baby for us. We talked about all of the people we love and will make bubbles to hang on the window decoration: Love is bubblin' over.
This is the beginning of February and we change our color to pink, our number to 7 and our shape to a heart.
Here are some of the activities we will focus on this week:
*Decorate stick people to represent the class
*Make bubbles for: Love is bubblin' over
*Paint a pink picture
*Make hearts out of new pink play dough
*Stamp 7 hearts on the #7
*Count 7 hearts
*Make an AB pattern on the magnet board
*Practice completing a heart shaped dot to dot
*Painting our handprint to put in a mitten
*Learn about the letter Q
*Painting with Q-tips
*Coloring pictures that begin with the letter Q
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please join us for some Valentine’s Day fun!
We will have supplies out for you to make valentines with your child(ren) along with other Valentine’s Day activities, including making a “sweet” snack to eat!
Who: PDO families (siblings ages 6 and under are welcome to attend)
When: Saturday, February 8th from 9-10:30 a.m.
Where: Zion’s Sonshine Center; all 4 classrooms in the Sonshine Center will have activities for your family. Some of the activities will be messy (paint, glue, etc.) so please dress accordingly!
No R.S.V.P is needed! Just come and stay as long as you would like! Zion’s PDO staff is looking forward to seeing you then!
