August 20th

Welcome to the first full week of school.  

This week we are continuing to explore our environment both inside the classroom and outdoors.  We are continuing to learn our songs and prayers, when to sit at the tables or the reading rug, where to line up and how to wash our hands. It is wonderful to see the children helping each other, showing new friends where to put their papers and lunch boxes.

This week we continue to learn about Jesus Time.  We are practicing how to fold our hands, bow our heads and close our eyes when we pray. Singing Jesus Loves Me and learning the hand motions is a favorite part of our morning.

Here are a few of the activities we will be working on this week:

* Creating with blue play doh

*Printing with blue blocks

*A is for Apple

*Making squares out of craft foam sticks

*Matching colored blocks to colored squares

*Coloring and gluing a heart onto our school verse

*Threading straws on pipe cleaners

*Singing songs and dancing

*Playing outside
