This Weeks Studies:
Jesus Time:
Matthew 26
English Standard Version (ESV)
The Passover with the Disciples
17 Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Where will you have us prepare for you to eat the Passover?” 18 He said, “Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.’” 19 And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover.20 When it was evening, he reclined at table with the twelve.[b] 21 And as they were eating, he said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” 22 And they were very sorrowful and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?” 23 He answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me. 24 The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.” 25 Judas, who would betray him, answered, “Is it I, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You have said so.”
Institution of the Lord's Supper
26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, 28 for this is my blood of the[c] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom."
This story can also be found in Mark 14 and Luke 22.
Key Points for PDO:
Jesus had a Last Supper with His Disciples
He asks the disciples to remember Him
Key Points for Us:
This meal we celebrate is for the benefit of our soul. It is holy and consecrated by God's word. This meal is life giving and forgives us of our sins. We remember His death as we partake of this meal. Holy Communion gives us unity as fellow believers in Christ and is a foretaste of the feast to come. It is the very body and blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

New toys were out in our room today so we had a great time exploring!
We also opened new purple play dough and had fun making different cookie cutter shapes of spring items
A different doll house was out and imaginations were taking place
Scarlett was busy in the housekeeping area and made a yummy breakfast
We started our day with our pre-writing center where we traced a line from the left to the right to meet a spring object
The girls were having fun caring for their babies and using their imaginations
Max was busy washing clothes he will make some women very happy one day!
Our pre-writing skills center continued to take place. This center is designed to help the students become familiar with holding a writing instrument
As well as introduce them to writing from left to right
It also allows them the opportunity to distinguish what hand is most comfortable to them to write with. This is something that does not need to be determined till they are in kindergarten
We had fun making a rain shower using the blue bingo dauber today
As we worked on this center we talked about how in the season of Spring we sometimes see a lot of rain
We talked about how important it is to have rain because it helps the flowers grass and trees grow
Bingo Daubers are a great way to help the students work on self control
It also gives them again an opportunity to decide which hand feels most comfortable to them
We continue to use the up and down method and not leaving our paint dauber sit to long in one place
As the year has progressed I see how well the students hand eye coordination has gotten
Many of the students are staying in the circle more and are working on just doing the circles and nothing else
My name begins with the letter...........today we stamped the first letter of our names. As the students worked at this center they were asked what their name began with and then were given that letter stamp to stamp that letter on their paper
Kaleb working on his rain shower he told me he needed to use an umbrella so he would not get wet!
N is for Natalia
Will starting at the top he told me the rain cloud was big so he would have big rain drops
Scarlett started at the bottom and made sure the flowers got plenty of water

This activity incorporated our shape and color of the month as well as allowed us to work on our fine motor skills
It was great to see how well all the students did with this activity as they had to use a lot of stickers
But as they completed their oval many of them told me they had made an Easter Egg
I love seeing Friends helping Friends it warms my heart!

We also did a flannel board story about 5 Bunny Rabbits
We had a great day today we were busy learning and exploring new shapes, colors, numbers, letters and about the season of spring. We had fun playing outside in the fresh air.
